Green clay for internal use for cats: a valuable natural aid

Our cats, even though they often live seemingly safe in our homes, are not immune to everyday aggressions. Allergies, digestive problems, frequent vomiting, hairballs, itching... their little organisms are put to the test. Like us, they live in a polluted environment:

– loaded indoor air
– treated tap water
– omnipresent electromagnetic waves,
– industrial food, often ultra-processed

Even the most pampered cats, fed with "premium" kibble, or the best food possible, can develop internal imbalances: engorged liver, slow digestion, weakened immune system, skin reactions, etc.

Green clay: a simple and natural boost

Without solving everything, a green clay treatment for internal use can really make a difference.

As a 3-week treatment, in their food, at each change of season, green clay:

– helps detoxify organs (especially the liver and kidneys)
– regulates pH and the entire digestive system
– absorbs gases and toxins
– promotes and helps maintain healthier transit, as well as the entire digestive system
– supports natural immunity

How to use it for cats?

There are two complementary ways to use clay internally for cats – not to be confused:

  1. Seasonal cure in food

A small pinch of green clay (about ½ teaspoon) can be added to your cat's wet (or rehydrated) food for 3 weeks at the beginning of each season.

This helps to gently detoxify the body, support the digestive system and strengthen immunity.

⚠️ Do not extend the treatment continuously throughout the year. However, in some cases, the duration of the treatment may be longer for a specific purpose. Do not hesitate to ask us questions if necessary.

  1. Free choice in the water

Prepare a second bowl of water, non-metallic (glass or plastic), in which you put a level teaspoon of green clay.

Let it sit for 1 to 2 hours, then offer this clear water on the surface, without stirring the sediment at the bottom, and observe if your pet will drink it. Leave the bowl available as long as it drinks. Ideally, always offer the choice between normal water and clay water: cats drink as needed. Change the water every 2 days or so.

This clay water can be offered at any time or regularly to all cats. However, it is even more appropriate and important for cats that do not go outside. Indeed, cats that do not go outside do not have access to grass, which naturally allows them to purge. Result: no more vomiting, hairballs, or signs of digestive saturation.

Clay then becomes a valuable ally to support their balance in a gentle and natural way.

Always leave another bowl of “normal” water nearby so he can choose and not cause dehydration.

Cats are very intuitive: if they feel the need to purify themselves, they will drink the clay water on their own.

For a cat with constipation or loose stools, clay can gently normalize bowel movements. If your cat is comfortable with wet food, you can also add a small pinch of clay, mixed well (a very small amount is enough).

It is also common to notice a stronger smell in the stools during the first few days: this is completely normal, it means that the body is eliminating accumulated toxins.

Truly a very suitable solution for indoor cats

In case of diarrhea: an effective natural remedy. Clay is known for its absorbent and soothing properties on the digestive system. In cases of sudden diarrhea (except in cases of veterinary emergency or while waiting for a consultation), it can provide rapid and natural relief.

For kittens

Prepare a small clay paste by mixing green clay with a little water until you obtain a smooth consistency, neither too liquid nor too thick.

→ To be administered directly into the mouth with a small syringe, in very small quantities, 1 to 2 per day until improvement. Do we really need to specify that it is a syringe without a needle of course!
